40's Hairstyle Tutorial- straight long hair

I general take my showers in the morning, therefore no foam rollers/pin curls that day! Sometimes I will put in hot rollers for a 40's style, however the curls do not last as long.  I don't style my hair 40's style on a daily basis, but I do aim to style it this way more often. In order to achieve this I need to come up with more styles to accommodate my long straight hair. Today I experimented with some victory rolls. Enjoy!
Wet me with gel and smooth style prep in my hair.

Just dried my hair with the blow dryer and brush.
Pin bangs temporarily under with bobby pin. ( I am getting my haircut Wednesday so my bangs are long, adjust as necessary)

Part hair down the middle.

Take hair and part down behind the ear, then take section and roll up on top of head, smoothing and pining as necessary. A bit of pomade on the ends of the hair helps control it better.

One side done...now repeat for the other.

Now for the bangs...unpin and roll back pining them.
You can leave it for a very nice half up, half down style. I would just curl it nice and brush it smooth.
but for today, I am going to put it all up. I use a clear pony holder.

I make a ponytail at the nape of my neck.

Then I pinned up the hair(not too neatly). Sort of an undone Saturday look.

This just requires some patience and a lot of bobby pins.
All done!
